Does Titanium Dioxide React With Lye

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a very stable compound and does not react with lye (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) under normal conditions. Titanium dioxide is often used as a pigment in products, including those that may come into contact with lye, such as paints and certain types of paper, without any reaction occurring.
