Foundation Without Titanium Dioxide-Does Titanium Dioxide React With Lye

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a very stable compound and does not react with lye (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) under normal conditions. Titanium dioxide is often used as a pigment in products, including those that may come into contact with lye, such as paints and certain types of paper, without any reaction occurring.

However, at very high temperatures, or under specific conditions such as in a chemical process where both substances are finely divided and mixed, there could be a possibility of a surface reaction. This would typically not be observed under standard ambient conditions or in common industrial applications.
